What is the panel?
Some clinics receive funds from the State of Massachusetts to deliver sexual and reproductive health services and are required to review the information and educational materials they give people during a visit. The state of Massachusetts contracted with Market Street to help them conduct the review of these materials for all the agencies that are receiving funding.
The review process exists to ensure that the materials that are made consider the people who are receiving the materials. As part of this panel, you will be asked to review sexual and reproductive health materials by completing feedback forms to ensure they convey the intended message, are straightforward to understand, are visually appealing, and aren’t offensive or off-putting.
Who can be on the panel?
Market Street Research and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health are seeking diverse community members to review informational and educational materials made available by clinics that receive funding from the sexual and reproductive health program.
What are the informational and educational materials that I would need to review?
The informational and educational materials include topics focusing on family planning, sexual health, and reproductive health.
How often will I need to review documents?
Between January 2024 and June 2024, we have a goal to review over 300 documents as part of this process. For each document, we need 5 people to review. Our plan is to send new documents out on a weekly basis.
How will I earn gift cards?
For each document you review, you will earn 1-3 points depending on the length and complexity of the document. For every 5 points you earn, you can redeem your points for a $25 digital gift card. At the end of the project, we will pay out any final points (i.e. if you’re at 4 points, you will be paid $20).
In addition, for every document you review, you will be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift card each month.
Is my participation anonymous?
We are required to prove that Massachusetts residents reviewed each document, and as a result, people who join the panel need to agree that for each document they review, their name will be recorded and reported as having reviewed the document. However, their specific feedback will not be associated with their name.
