Alec Baclawski is a long-time member of the Market Street Research team, having started in March of 1995. He is kept very busy with the dual tasks of maintaining the company’s computers and technology infrastructure and assisting the Research Analysts and Data Collection Manager in the processing of data for inclusion in the various customized reports produced by Market Street Research.
Combining creativity learned in an education in the Arts with a strong understanding of the logical processes needed to support computer technology, Alec provides everything from immediate desktop support to purchasing of systems, as well as network and systems planning. As a Senior Research Associate, Alec performs a variety of research and data organization tasks, proofing, support writing, and the creation of visual aids such as maps.
Alec studied Art at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, graduating Cum Laude. He has also acquired several computer certifications to bolster his years of hands-on freelance and company-specific computer support experience.
Outside of the office, Alec is involved with a variety of tabletop, computer, and board gaming hobbies. Over the years, he has been involved in organizing conventions and running tournament games at venues, running Live Action Role Play systems, and hosting a variety of casual gaming events for friends and family. Alec has also had articles published in Dragon Magazine.
In addition, trained as a painter and illustrator, Alec has done portraits, character studies, and other drawings and paintings (from realistic to abstract) for gaming fan magazines, players, and those looking for art with a touch of the fantastic.
